Mary Gabriel. Algonquin Books. 1998
First edition. Victoria Woodhull was a woman well before her time....the first woman to run for president, the first woman to address Congress, portrayed as "Mrs. Satan" by cartoonist Nast, and who said "We are plotting revolution, we will overslaugh this bogus republic and plant a government of righteousness in its stead" in 1871! Small stain on foredge,
otherwise mint.
